These systems, generally speaking, consist of solar panels that convert solar radiation into electrical current that drives the water pump. To use this generated power to control a standard electric pump we need a solar inverter. It converts the direct current created in the panels into an alternating current that is suitable for the pump's electric motor.
In addition to these basic elements, some additional ones are also needed, without which the pump cannot work:
- cables;
- electrical panel;
- construction that carries the solar panels, etc.
Once this system is built and set up properly, it provides you water for irrigation, tank filling, pool circulation and many others. And all this without the need of electric power, liquid fuels, without any consumables and maintenance.
